My Indignation.
In Chile there is a state agency that depends on the
Ministry of Justice called Sename (National Service for Children), which should
fulfill the task of protecting and promoting
the rights of children and adolescents and to reinsert in
society to
teenagers who have broken the law.
The problem is the following, this institution rather than
providing support to minors generates much more damage, it is a place where
human rights have been repeatedly violated, where children are mistreated and
systematically abused, this In addition to generating less favorable spaces for
children, it ends up being more a harm than an aid. The inability of the State
to create minimum conditions for the children in its care is outrageous. The
serious deficiencies in the design, execution and programs that are implemented
in the system of protection and discrimination against children and their
families due to deficit socioeconomic conditions and poverty, favoring
hospitalization in the residential system over ambulatory modalities of support
for families and their life circumstances. I believe that this agency has so
many deficiencies and so little control that it should be closed, and implement
other resources or an agency that is efficient in its task.
